Brain Injury Awareness

We are incredibly proud of Imy, who today completed a 10K run to raise awareness of the long-lasting effects of brain injury. Supported by her friends and staff, she ran cross country around Sherborne, having never ran before September.

Here is Imy’s story:

“Earlier this year, my mum, had an Ischemic stroke. She had been living an incredibly healthy lifestyle, including being an excellent runner. Almost overnight, her ability to walk, speak, and write was lost. Since this happened, however, my mum has shown through her unwavering determination that even when things begin to get tough, one should never give up.

The funds raised from this run will be donated to SameYou to help brain injury survivors like my mum get the support and recovery treatment they need to feel that they haven’t lost the person they were before”.

On behalf of Imy, her family and Sherborne Girls, thank you 💙
